If the only way for your consciousness to live on after you die, is through a computer. Would you do it?

Or would you rather accept non existence?

No.

How can dead matter create living organisms?

July 13, 2011 - 11:12 am 7 Comments

How can something inanimate reconstitute itself and bring itself to life just by chance? I am inclined to believe that if matter is the basis of life, then there is potential consciousness in every particle of the universe. If consciousness is just a chemical reaction of the brain, then doesn’t that mean the molecules in the chemical are the ones providing consciousness implying that the physical universe is somewhat alive?

It can’t. It can however become food for other living things organic and inorganic.

In your murderous rage, how much of the living will you kill blindly beneath your awareness?

May 12, 2011 - 9:27 am 8 Comments

The story unfolds beneath your awareness. Each moment the living die and cry out for mercy, but your consciousness divides itself to shield you from the murder that you are.

The comfort of the wall is enough for most, but not for you.

My awareness is fairly wide in its parameters. It is aware for instance that the dead cannot be killed which spares it from the unnecessary exercise in vigilance directed to the lifeless. The wall is of no comfort if my enemy awaits without.

Are we just infinite consciousness living in a holographic illusion?

Is it true? I feel confused, and a bit depressed. I watched this video:

Yup, that’s David Icke for ya. He’s a sort of modern day philosopher.

In this speech he is desperately trying, in his very feeble way, to speak philosophically about multiple dimensions predicted by String Theory, and the impact this may have upon our consciousness and the way we perceive reality. He uses modern mnemonics and analogies to try to explain his points, but he really just ends up confusing the issue in a tangle of tinfoil… which is really all he’s good at.

How would you feel about living for eternity?

February 26, 2011 - 3:38 pm 9 Comments

I know that consciousness survives death (if you dont believe this, dont bother posting an answer), though I am not religious. However im not really sure about the idea of living forever. Im already bored enough as it is…

I would live out my life and do everything I ever wanted.
I would then live out every fantasy I could dream and then live out everyone else’s fantasies.
After that I would develop the technology (because I have the time) to be able experience myself as each being known to man and live out each and every imaginable fantasy of each creature.
Then I would search the universe to discover every being in every corner.
I would explore each possibility and experience every angle of the entirety of existence.
Gathering all information I’d swallow it in one whole bite of experience.
I’d take a deep breath and enjoy Eternity….
Upon release I remember what I forgot…
I’ve seen it all, done it all, been it all, I know it all and yet I forgot…the surprise.
Bored with eternity, bored with it all, I choose to forget what I know and remember what I forgot.
Then I find myself here, in this very moment, Now. What a surprise!

There are times that the Whole Universe and Universes seems like the highest living life form?

February 20, 2011 - 6:43 pm 9 Comments

It has its own characteristics and traits, it has the beginning and end, or itself the beginning and end. It creates and it destroys, it sometimes might have its own consciousness and the highest form of intelligence around itself as a whole. It might be the highest form of a living thing that we yet need to understand about its existence. What do you think?

A theory put forth by many non-traditionalist theologians is that the Universe itself is "God" and that it broke itself apart (The Big Bang) in order for it to try and understand itself. That by viewing the tiny fragments of it’s being and how they get along in the universe, it may come to understand the different aspects of itself.

Do you think the earth has a consciousness of its own?

February 7, 2011 - 9:09 am 14 Comments

Since we have consciousness, yet we are made of billions of separate organisms, living together to create our body’s, could it be that the earth is a living being and we are merely the individual organisms that complete it.?
Checkout- Handbook of the Navigator, which explains this in detail..

yes your view on this makes perfect sense.
it’s obvious many people wouldn’t want this to be true, seeing as how disrespectful we trample on this earth, not only in the literal sense. maybe more people would be outraged or ashamed about how earth is treated if they took this point of view for just a few minutes

Is it possible to record a living person’s mind, consciousness, and memories?

December 31, 2010 - 2:13 am 4 Comments

Like in the movie 6th day.
I know its science fiction, but has technology caught up?
If it is not possible how close are we to that kind of technology?

What would we need to research in order for that technology to be possible?
What considerations are there that make recording a mind difficult?

Is it difficult to explore or observe neurons of the brain?
If memories are stored in the brain wouldn’t copying someone’s exact brain structure make them that exact person?
Are neurons more like wires or transistors? Do neurons move as they process thoughts?

NO….that’s fantasy…FICTION….fairy tales.
